The Society for Cardiological Science and Technology (SCST) was one of the founding groups of the Registration Council for Clinical Physiologists (RCCP) in 2001 and worked closely with them to establish and maintain a professional register.

In March 2018, SCST issued a statement to say that it has been proud to support RCCP over the last 17 years but felt that the AHCS is now best positioned to facilitate the long-held aim of gaining statutory regulation for the majority of the profession.

SCST members (new and existing) currently on the RCCP register can utilise a streamlined application process to join the AHCS clinical physiology register, if they apply through the SCST Registrar (ahcsregister.scst@gmail.com). The annual registration fee is £50.

Current members of SCST just need to email their name, address, current work address, RCCP registrant number and SCST number to ahcsregister.scst@gmail.com.

If not currently a member of SCST, you can still complete an application form (available from SCST website) and provide your details (as above).

Once you are provided with your login information from AHCS, you will be asked to provide a CRB/DBS certificate dated within 3 years of application.  If you do not have a current CRB/DBS certificate, you can obtain one by applying online at https://www.gov.uk/disclosure-barring-service-check/overview.  This is a PSA requirement for all applicants.
