The Chief Scientific Officer for England, Professor Dame Sue Hill, would like to invite organisations in the healthcare science community to apply to host students in the latest cohort of the Darzi Fellowship.

Co-ordinated by London South Bank University, this is an exciting opportunity to support a high profile and prestigious programme for developing leaders to undertake complex change initiatives that have a profound impact on them and the organisations they work for. This offer very much includes Healthcare Scientists from all the disciplines.

The ask is for organisations to apply to host a Darzi Fellow, funded from within their organisation. This full-time one year cli nical leadership development programme has been shown to produce highly effective clinical leaders; acting as catalysts for sustainable change in the healthcare environment.

Host organisations are expected to set a Fellowship Challenge for their Fellow to take on within their organisation, supporting both real-time, issue-based change, and to contribute to long-lasting organisational culture change. The Darzi process not only develops the individual Fellow, but also brings immense benefit to hosting organisations. You can see examples of this impact on the Darzi Fellowship website.

The attached documents will help with the host organisation application process, and can also be found on the CSO’s FutureNHS platform. The closing date for host applications is Friday 25 February 2022.

For more information regarding being a host organisation for the Darzi Fellowship, please contact the Programme Director Tom Holliday at hollidt2@lsbu.ac.uk.

We would ask that you also cc the Chief Scientific Officer’s team at england.cso@nhs.net with your applications so that we can keep connected and share future leadership development opportunities with you and your teams.
