As we work through the COVID-19 pandemic, many of us find that our clinical activity is returning. Alongside cancer services, cardiology activity has been recognised as an NHS priority.

Many of us are keen to return to normality and concerned that we have several patients with multiple pathologies currently being held on pending lists.  However, given that COVID-19 continues to be endemic with the probability of a second wave of infections later in the year, it will not be possible to return to the previous model of the delivery of care for the foreseeable future.

As a result, consensus recommendations about PPE have been prepared to help in the first step of reintroducing cardiac diagnostic services,  .
