SCST Awards 2024
We are excited to announce the SCST Awards, which will take place during the SCST Annual Conference on 22nd November 2024 at Austin Court in Birmingham.
Nominations are open to everyone, not just SCST members. You can nominate and be nominated regardless of your membership status.
There are several categories available including the introduction of two new awards for 2024: Cardiac Physiologist/Scientist of the Year and Associate Practitioner of the Year.
Rising Star Award
A staff member or colleague who has recently qualified or is undertaking an Apprenticeship, PTP or STP qualification and shows great insight and innovation in the role. The actions of this colleague will likely offer better diagnostic service within the workforce and/or their approach to their job will allow for better patient care.
Innovators Prize for Transformation
A staff member or colleague who has proactively created transformational change in a service or department. This change has led to either financial savings, time savings or resulted in a better diagnostic provision allowing better patient flow.
Patient Care Award of Excellence
A staff member or colleague who proactively offers exceptional patient care on a daily basis. Going above and beyond in a pursuit that offers excellent patient care.
The Dave Richley Award for Outstanding Education
A staff member, colleague(s) or team who have proactively pushed education forward in their trust or the wider network. Raising standards and the profile of the cardiac workforce on the whole.
NEW Cardiac Scientist of the Year 2024
This award recognises a cardiac scientist / cardiac physiologist who has demonstrated outstanding commitment to the profession and inspired others in the field by raising the profile of cardiac science and improve patient care through innovative practices You can nominate yourself or colleagues.
The nomination should demonstrate evidence of:
- How the nominee has raised the profile of cardiac science and physiology
- Improved in-patient outcomes
- Develop the workforce to meet the needs of service
- Leadership and working team
- Effective collaboration to enhance patient care
- Commitment to personal learning and the development of others
NEW The Cardiographer of Year Award 2024
This award recognises a cardiographer / associate practitioner / support worker who has demonstrated outstanding commitment to patient care, supporting colleagues and inspired others You can nominate yourself or colleagues.
The nomination should demonstrate evidence of:
- Positive feedback from patients, carers and colleagues
- Gone the extra mile to support patients and colleagues
- Excellent team working
- Effective communication to enhance patient care.
- Commitment to personal learning
The deadline for nominations is 15th October 2024.
