March is a time to bring together over 50 scientific specialisms and professional groups to celebrate and raise awareness of this diverse NHS workforce.

Healthcare Science Week returns from Monday 13th to Sunday 19th March 2023 and is a great opportunity for you to showcase the work NHS healthcare science has played in the health service over the last 75 years. Many areas within Healthcare Science continue to play a vital role in the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of disease and the health of our population.

If you have Healthcare Science stories to share, we’d love to hear from them. Share them in the SCST Facebook Group or tweet us and we’ll RT to spread the word.

You can also get involved in Healthcare Science Week by subscribing to the Healthcare Science Week bulletin; following the NHS Healthcare Science twitter feed, @WeHCScientists and using #HCSWeek2023 when sharing your stories.

If your department is promoting Healthcare Science Week internally or to your local population, you’ll find lots of useful marketing materials and you’ll find additional resources here.

And finally, don’t forget to register for the Chief Scientific Officer’s webinar, which takes place on 15th March 2023 from 4pm. Speaker details will be announced shortly here.

Whatever you’re doing this Healthcare Science Week, let’s spread the news about the work we do and put Healthcare Science on the map.
