One week left to submit nominations for the 2022 Scottish Governments’ Chief Healthcare Science Officer’s awards!
Healthcare Scientists are at the forefront of healthcare within Scotland and never more so than over the last two years during the Pandemic. We have seen our workforce demonstrate significant scientific and leadership skills enabling them to deliver their services in new and innovative ways whilst still maintaining high quality.
These new awards celebrate those skills and expertise and recognise innovation and transformation within our services , leadership within our workforce, and high quality education and service delivery. It also provides a platform to share best practice throughout our profession.
The awards are open to all healthcare scientists working within NHS Boards and public health in Scotland. It is possible to nominate for more than one category.
We require a submission of 200-300 words outlining how the nominee fulfils the award criteria. The submission deadline is 17.00; 18th February 2022.

The Awards
The following awards may be entered as individuals or as a team:
- The Innovator
- The Researcher
- The Educator
- The Transformer
- The Sustainability Champion
The following awards may be entered as individuals. Nominations can only be for a colleague and individuals may not nominate themselves:
- Rising star
- Healthcare Scientist of the Year
