Message from the Chief Scientific Officers Office
On Friday 26th February 2021 from 16:30 – 17:30, the Office of the Chief Scientific Officer will be hosting its next webinar for healthcare science staff. This month’s webinar will focus on the different COVID-19 variants and the implications of new variants on vaccination, testing and the overall spread of the virus. The Office of the Chief Scientific Officer will also launch 2021 Healthcare Science Awards.
The webinar will be co-hosted by the Professor Dame Sue Hill, Chief Scientific Officer for England, Angela Douglas MBE, Deputy Chief Scientific Officer, and Melanie Smith Scientific Advisor, COVID-19 Technical Validation Group, Department of Health and Social Care.
The webinar will end with a Q&A session. We will be taking questions in advance of the webinar so please submit any questions you may have to firstname.lastname@example.org by end of day Wednesday 24th February 2021.
This webinar will be hosted on ‘Microsoft Teams’ as a live event and can be accessed using the following at Joining Link 16:30 on the Friday 26th February 2021. Please do share the Joining Link with colleagues who you feel may be interested in joining the webinar.
- Please open the Joining Link using Google Chrome
- Select the option to ‘watch on the web instead’. From there you can join anonymously or sign in with your details
- There will be a hold screen stating that ‘this event has not started yet’. Please wait until the webinar goes ‘live’. The webinar will commence at 16:30.
