The Society for Cardiac Science and Technology (SCST) is seeking new board members as some current members reach the end of their terms. We invite passionate individuals to help shape the future of our profession and SCST during this exciting period. This year there are five positions available. SCST welcomes interest from anyone who is a current SCST full member (Ordinary or Fellow).
Serving on the SCST board is incredibly rewarding and offers the opportunity to work towards shaping the future of our profession. Board members should expect to dedicate approximately 4 to 6 hours per month to attending Council meetings, working on projects, reviewing documents, and representing SCST at a national level. Presently board meetings take place once a month virtually with the aim to meet face to face at least once per year.
This opportunity is ideal for those eager to support colleagues and promote the profession, particularly if you are working towards equivalence at the Clinical Scientist level or HSST. To apply, please fill out the application form. You must list three SCST full members who support your application. If there are more applicants than available positions, an election will be held, and members will be asked to vote. Details of the election will be communicated accordingly.
The closing date for nominations is midday on 8th August 2024. Voting will open in mid August and close 2 months later, further details of which will be forwarded to eligible voting members. Successful candidates will be announced at the AGM on 22nd November and new board members will take office from this date.
